Location: San Diego, CA (92121 – Northwest San Diego area)
Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour
Work Requirement: 100% Onsite
Shift / Hours: | 6:00am - 2:30pm PST | 2:30pm - 11:30pm PST | 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Duration: Contract / Long-term project via ATR International

Job Description Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to perform a variety of operations to assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures. Working with assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics, you will construct drawers, chassis, enclosures, and racks.
This role involves complex assignments requiring solid judgment, initiative in resolving assembly challenges, and practical execution of hand soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine and/or follow precise methods and sequence of operations to perform hand soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling on assembly units.
- Perform routine go/no-go tests on circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Set up test devices using hand tools or automated test methods, and accurately document test results.
- Maintain logs and records denoting any component or system malfunctions.
- Perform repair work as necessary and execute other production support duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 6+ months of hands-on production and mechanical assembly experience.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Top 3 Required Skills:
- Strong component polarity knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Good communication (written and verbal) and soft skills.
- Technical Knowledge & Tools: Familiarity with MS Teams and IPC-610 standards; proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical/mechanical testing equipment.
- Core Skills: Solid foundation in reading/writing, basic arithmetic, hand soldering, wire-wrapping, and cable harnessing.
