Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join a leading Am Law firm’s Life Sciences practice. This is an opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in intellectual property licensing and technology transactions to work on sophisticated deals supporting companies across the life sciences industry.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Draft and negotiate intellectual property licenses, including patent and trademark licenses, joint development agreements, collaboration agreements, and other strategic alliances.

• Advise on technology licenses, services agreements, software-as-a-service agreements, and distribution agreements.

• Support corporate transactions in the life sciences sector through intellectual property and technology transaction due diligence.

• Assist with technology transfers and other complex licensing and transactional matters.

• Bring 3–4 years of experience in intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and technology transactions, ideally within the life sciences industry.

• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with deal teams while independently managing substantial components of transactions.

• Possess outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Maintain relevant bar admission or be eligible to obtain admission promptly.

Salary: $260,000–$310,000
