- Follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary requirements.
- Assist in menu planning and development.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals to meet dietary guidelines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine interest in working with the elderly.
- Criminal background clearance pass required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.
