Job Description CNC Mill Setup Technician in Commerce, CA — $27.30–$27.30/hr DOE, 1st shift, contract-to-hire. Support CNC milling and drilling setups for precision hinge components.

ABOUT THE ROLE A hands-on entry into CNC setup, with drawings, tooling, and inspection at the center of the work.
Help set up and operate CNC milling and drilling equipment in a custom hinge manufacturing shop. Support the Drilling Department with tooling and fixture changes, basic machining, and inspection of precision components. This is an entry-level setup-support role with hands-on production work. Expect extended standing, frequent bending, reaching, and material/tool handling around CNC machinery, noise, and moving equipment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO - Assist with CNC mill and drilling machine setups and operation - Support production of custom hinge components and precision parts - Perform drilling operations and basic machining tasks - Load materials and parts into CNC equipment - Change tooling and fixtures and assist with machine adjustments - Read work orders, blueprints, setup instructions, and manufacturing documents - Inspect parts visually and with basic measuring tools - Support machinists and production leads to maintain production flow
WHAT YOU NEED - Basic CNC machining knowledge or experience - Familiarity with CNC mills, drilling equipment, and manufacturing tools - Ability to read basic blueprints and shop instructions - Mechanical aptitude for machine setup and production tasks
NICE TO HAVE - CNC setup or operator experience - Manufacturing or machine shop experience - CNC drilling, milling, or custom-fabrication experience - Experience measuring parts with calipers, micrometers, or gauges

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Stand for extended periods; frequently lift, bend, and reach while safely handling materials, tooling, and machined parts. Discuss specific lifting weights with your recruiter before submission.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Machine shop with CNC machinery, drilling and production equipment, metalworking materials, moving mechanical equipment, noise, and vibration. PPE is required and provided, and all plant safety procedures apply.
