Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient surgery center and clinic. The ideal candidate has strong experience in PACU, OR circulation, and perioperative nursing, along with an understanding of QUAD A compliance. This is an active clinical role working closely with Dr. Ronan, our Nurse Practitioner, and the clinical team to support patients before, during, and after surgery. The RN may also support MedSpa treatments based on experience, training, and practice needs.
Key Responsibilities:Clinical Support & Team Collaboration
- Serve as a reliable clinical resource across the surgery center, plastic surgery clinic, and MedSpa
- Support staff training, onboarding, workflow coordination, and daily clinical readiness as needed
- Collaborate with the Medical Director, Practice Director, Nurse Practitioner, and clinical team to maintain efficient, high-quality care
- Help foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment
Direct Patient Care & Surgical Support
- Support Dr. Ronan and the Nurse Practitioner during pre-operative and post-operative visits
- Serve as a consistent clinical point of contact for surgical patients and help ensure continuity of care throughout their journey
- Complete pre-operative nursing assessments, patient education, medication reconciliation, and surgical preparation within the RN scope of practice
- Circulate in the operating room and provide clinical support during procedures
- Provide PACU care, including patient monitoring, pain and nausea management, documentation, and discharge education
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Maintain strict adherence to QUAD A, OSHA, infection-control, and practice standards
- Assist with internal audits, quality-improvement initiatives, inspections, and accreditation readiness
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and consistently follow patient-safety protocols
Patient Advocacy & Care Coordination
- Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout all phases of care
- Provide timely post-operative follow-up, education, and support to patients and their families
- Participate in the after-hours clinical call rotation as assigned
- Triage urgent patient concerns within the RN scope of practice and coordinate appropriate follow-up care
- Collaborate closely with Dr. Ronan, the Nurse Practitioner, and the nursing team to ensure timely and appropriate interventions
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of California
- Minimum 3 years of perioperative or outpatient surgical nursing experience; plastic surgery experience preferred
- Strong experience in PACU, OR circulation, pre-operative care, and post-operative care
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS certification preferred
- Familiarity with QUAD A regulatory standards is preferred
- Exceptional communication, clinical judgment, documentation, and organizational skills; aesthetic treatment experience is a plus but not required

Works closely with: Nurse Practitioner, OR Manager, and Clinical Nursing Staff

- Occasional after-hours or weekend availability required for patient care support
