Pay Rate: $23.00 - $31.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Systems Assembler to join our Systems Manufacturing team. This temporary position is responsible for assembling, calibrating, setting up, and testing precision electro-mechanical systems in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has strong electro-mechanical assembly experience, excellent attention to detail, and enjoys working in a collaborative manufacturing environment focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assemble, calibrate, set up, and test precision mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical assemblies.
  • Build and complete custom and modified products with minimal supervision.
  • Assemble prototype equipment while collaborating with Engineering.
  • Provide manufacturing recommendations to improve product quality, reduce build time, and increase product reliability.
  • Troubleshoot assemblies and workstations using basic electrical and mechanical test equipment.
  • Operate light machining equipment, including drills, saws, grinders, and belt sanders.
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Support Assembly, Stockroom, and Quality departments as business needs require.
  • Follow all safety procedures while working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new employees.
  • Work overtime and occasional weekends as needed to meet production schedules.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree (AA) in Electronics or a related technical field, or equivalent advanced electro-mechanical assembly experience.
  • 4–6 years of experience as an electrical and mechanical assembly technician.
  • Background in precision electro-mechanical manufacturing.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings and schematics.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Soldering experience required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to mentor and train new team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience assembling custom automation systems or manufacturing equipment.
  • Prototype assembly experience.
  • Experience working in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

  • Industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent use of hand tools, power tools, and light machining equipment.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working with precision assemblies throughout the day.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
