Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that automotive products meet established quality and industry standards by performing detailed inspections, identifying defects, and accurately documenting all findings. This role supports consistent production quality through precise measurement, thorough visual checks, and careful review of parts and components.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections on automotive parts and components to identify flaws, defects, and nonconformities.
• Verify that production output meets established industry and internal quality standards.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to take accurate measurements and confirm specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand product requirements and inspection criteria.
• Complete all required quality control paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Record inspection results, including defects found, measurements taken, and actions recommended.
• Communicate inspection findings clearly to production and quality teams to support corrective actions.
• Follow established quality assurance and quality inspection procedures throughout the production process.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe inspection area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and suggesting process improvements.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in automotive or quality control (either is acceptable).
• Hands-on experience performing quality control or quality inspection tasks.
• Ability to identify flaws and defects in parts and components through visual and dimensional inspection.
• Proficiency using calipers to measure components accurately.
• Proficiency using micrometers to verify precise dimensions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Understanding of quality assurance and quality inspection principles in a production environment.
• Familiarity with automotive manufacturing or automotive repair processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentation.
• Ability to complete quality control paperwork and documentation clearly and thoroughly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Background in automotive repair or related mechanical work.
• Comfort working with standard quality assurance tools and procedures.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with production and quality teams.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple inspections and documentation requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SOUTH EL MONTE, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
