Job Description

Make an impact this school year by providing essential speech-language services to K-12 students under a contract position for the 2026-2027 academic year. You’ll work with a dynamic educational team, serving a diverse caseload and supporting individualized education plans to help students find their voice and succeed in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications and Credentials

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active California Speech-Language Pathology License
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential or eligibility to obtain
  • Ability to secure fingerprint clearance and complete district onboarding requirements
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Previous school-based experience is a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and engage with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services in line with IEP goals
  • Conduct thorough assessments in speech, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatics
  • Complete evaluations, re-evaluations, and detailed written reports
  • Develop, update, and monitor IEP goals, presenting updates at meetings
  • Collaborate with educators, specialists, families, and other providers to support holistic student success
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service logs and Medicaid billing (where applicable)
  • Consult on effective classroom accommodations and communication strategies
  • Work with students representing a variety of needs, such as Autism, SLI, SLD, ID, and OHI
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and educational planning
  • Implement AAC systems as appropriate to support student communication
