This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a caseload of 28 or fewer students classified as having mild to moderate needs. The role is based on-site in Siskiyou County, CA, with the possibility of remote (VOCO) arrangements for the right candidate.
What You'll Need:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience or passion for working with mild to moderate caseloads
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Flexibility to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team

Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to support students with unique learning requirements
- Design and adapt curriculum to promote both academic and social-emotional growth
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
- Engage in continuous professional development to remain current with special education best practices
