About the Role:
HMG Health Care Inc is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing healthcare team in Lancaster, CA. Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately in EMR/EHR systems
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply inventory
- Administer injections, draw blood, and perform basic clinical procedures as directed
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care instructions
- Handle front and back office duties including insurance verification and prior authorizations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification a plus
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and basic computer skills
- Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs and injections
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for serving the Lancaster community
