Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
This Material Handler role supports a busy manufacturing and warehouse operation by safely moving materials, handling inventory, and ensuring accurate documentation using forklifts, RF scanners, and ERP systems. The position runs on an afternoon-to-late evening shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stage, and organize materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
- Load and unload materials, components, and finished goods from trucks and other delivery vehicles.
- Perform material transfers between different locations within the warehouse and manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Use RF scanners to accurately pick, scan, and track inventory and materials.
- Support kitting activities by assembling and preparing materials and components according to work orders or production requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by following established procedures and using ERP systems such as NetSuite.
- Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and warehouse team members to ensure materials are available where and when they are needed.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damaged materials, or inventory issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed to support smooth daily operations.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory tracking and material handling.
- Experience with material transfers and inventory movement within a warehouse.
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
- Ability to work an afternoon-to-late evening shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Current and valid forklift certification is a strong plus.
- Experience with kitting processes and preparing materials for production is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is a plus.
- Comfort working in a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills when working with warehouse and manufacturing staff.

Work Environment
This role is based in Poway within a busy manufacturing and warehouse facility. The environment is fast-paced, with frequent material movement and close collaboration between warehouse and production teams. You will work on an afternoon-to-late evening shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., operating forklifts, using RF scanners, and interacting with ERP systems such as NetSuite. The facility emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established procedures.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
