Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide dedicated 1:1 behavioral support to a 1st grade student in a school setting. This position is ideal for an RBT with experience supporting students with moderate to significant behavioral needs.
The student is a male student who may engage in elopement and moderate-to-severe physical behaviors. The RBT will provide consistent, individualized support throughout the school day while helping the student safely participate in the classroom and school environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 behavioral and educational support throughout the school day
- Implement behavior intervention and support strategies as directed by the student's care team
- Support the student with remaining safely engaged in the classroom and school environment
- Monitor and respond appropriately to elopement and physical behaviors
- Collect behavioral and student progress data as required
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and related service providers
- Promote positive behaviors, independence, and participation in school activities
Requirements
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Previous experience working with students with moderate to significant behavioral support needs
- Experience supporting students with elopement and/or physical behaviors preferred
- Strong communication, patience, and ability to work effectively as part of a school-based team
