Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers at the pharmacy counter with professionalism and care
- Process and manage prescription drop-offs and pick-ups accurately
- Handle cash register transactions, including cash, credit, and insurance co-pays
- Maintain and organize pharmacy inventory and stock shelves as needed
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries to the pharmacist when appropriate
- Assist with data entry of patient information and prescription records
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, HIPAA regulations, and safety standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous customer service, retail, or pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer and data entry proficiency
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented attitude
