Job DescriptionProduction Planner-ManufacturingLocation: San Fernando Valley, CA
Pay: $28.00–$34.00 per hour, DOE
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday; overtime may be required
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, material availability, capacity, lead times, and delivery commitments.
- Review BOMs, routings, work orders, and production requirements.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed.
- Coordinate with purchasing, manufacturing, inventory, and warehouse teams.
- Identify material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and production delays.
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP planning information.
- Track production priorities, backlog, and on-time delivery.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of production planning or manufacturing planning experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience required.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling.
- Ability to read and understand Bills of Material (BOMs) and manufacturing routings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with machining, sheet metal, welding, or assembly operations.
- Knowledge of inventory control or supply chain processes.
- APICS certification is a plus.
