Overview
Based in Irvine, CA, you will partner directly with executive leadership to align people initiatives with business goals, build scalable infrastructure, and cultivate a resilient, engaged workforce. As a critical member of their leadership team, you'll help attract, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring their people are equipped to compete fiercely and deliver extraordinary results.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnership & Scale: Collaborate with executives to align HR strategies with revenue growth, new market entries, acquisitions, and organizational scale-up projects. Build infrastructure that supports aggressive expansion and operational complexity.
- Culture & Leadership Development: Coach leaders to foster results-oriented, high-performing teams rooted in strong values. Drive performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives that promote transparency, recognition, and genuine care.
- Succession Planning & Business Continuity: Lead talent succession planning for critical roles, establish development milestones, and ensure leadership readiness. Safeguard organizational resilience through proactive risk management.
- Mergers, Acquisitions & Change Management: Oversee HR aspects of M&A activities including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition culture and leadership alignment. Maintain business continuity throughout periods of change.
- Employee Relations & HR Leadership: Manage complex employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution efforts in partnership with Legal and leadership. Lead initiatives to enhance recognition, company culture, and employee communication.
- HR Operations & Systems: Supervise payroll, benefits, onboarding, HR policies, compliance, and metrics, supporting routine HR functions while operating with efficiency and urgency.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive HR leadership or HR Business Partner experience, with demonstrated success advising executives and managing complex employee relations.
- Experience in high-growth, sales-driven, customer-focused organizations, with a track record of scaling organizations through major growth phases.
- Expertise in leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and California employment law.
- Practical, low-bureaucracy approach with strong business judgment and resilient ownership mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; senior HR certifications like SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience leading M&A due diligence, integration, and culture change.
- Background in fast-paced, startup-like environments within food, logistics, distribution, or supply chain sectors.
- Proven ability to support large-scale organizational growth, such as doubling or tripling headcount or revenue.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $175,000 - $250,000 annually
