The Great Library Co. is seeking a Product Design Manager to lead design strategy and deliver user-centered experiences.
Position Summary
The Product Design Manager will oversee the product design function, guiding a team to create intuitive, high-quality experiences across core products. This role partners closely with product and engineering leaders to shape design direction, manage execution, and ensure outcomes align with user needs and business goals.
You will be responsible for building design alignment, strengthening design processes, and elevating the bar for craft and usability. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, a product mindset, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable design results.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a product design team, setting clear priorities, quality standards, and performance expectations.

Collaborate with product management and engineering to define product goals, user needs, and design strategy.

Drive end-to-end design delivery from discovery and concepting through validation, iteration, and launch.

Establish and improve design workflows, ensuring consistent quality in research, interaction design, and overall user experience.

Advocate for accessibility, usability, and user-centered decision-making across the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications

Demonstrated experience leading product design efforts in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Strong understanding of user-centered design practices, including discovery, prototyping, and design validation.

Experience managing design execution, quality, and stakeholders across multiple initiatives.

Compensation
Annual salary: $100,000.00
