Fatima's Grill is looking for a passionate and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team in Los Angeles, CA! If you love crafting delicious halal dishes and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, this is the perfect opportunity to bring your culinary talents to a beloved local grill.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook halal menu items to order with consistency and quality
- Follow halal food preparation standards and guidelines at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Monitor food inventory and assist with stocking and storage
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Assist with prep work including chopping, marinating, and seasoning
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a cook, line cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Knowledge of halal dietary laws and food preparation standards is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
