Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency in conducting evaluations and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to adapt activities and interventions to diverse needs and learning environments
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for supporting student success
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional assessments and participate in multidisciplinary eligibility meetings
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with student IEPs
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy interventions to students
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and therapy activities
- Attend meetings and support the team in gathering program details as needed
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements for school-based OT
