SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: You’ll be responsible for creating and managing product tags that ensure accurate labeling, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and print product tags and labels for tortillas, baked goods, and packaging materials
- Ensure all tags include correct product name, lot number, expiration date, barcode, and regulatory information
- Coordinate with production and quality assurance teams to verify tag accuracy and timing
- Maintain and operate tag printing equipment, including troubleshooting minor issues
- Organize and distribute tags to packaging stations in alignment with production schedules
- Monitor inventory of tag supplies and request replenishments proactively
- Assist in maintaining compliance with FDA, USDA, and other food labeling regulations
- Keep detailed records of tag batches for traceability and audits
- Support continuous improvement in initiatives in labeling efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food manufacturing or packaging preferred
- Familiarity with labeling software and basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic understanding of food safety and traceability standards a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong asset
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
Skills and abilities
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Netsuite).
- Demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Able to adhere to tight deadlines.
