Snapshot / Role Overview
We're looking for a Mechanical Project Manager in the Sacramento area to lead commercial and institutional HVAC projects from award through closeout for a mechanical contractor.

- Grow the project engineers and field leads who work with you.
Responsibilities
- Draft and execute subcontracts and vendor purchase orders.
- Build work sequences and manage long-lead items, fabrication releases, and CPM schedules.
- Maintain job cost forecasts and schedules of values, and run RFIs and change orders to protect margin.
- Manage submittals, billings, startup, commissioning, closeout, O and M, and as-builts.
- Run OAC and coordination meetings and close action items.
- Plan manpower and reinforce safety and QA/QC standards.
- Oversee testing, inspection, permit, and occupancy records under the California Building Code.
Must-Haves
- Experience leading commercial or institutional HVAC projects end to end.
- Strong command of job cost, change management, and CPM scheduling.
- Comfort with Outlook, Excel, Word, and standard construction software.
Nice-to-Haves
- Background mentoring project engineers.
- Experience with prefabrication and fabrication releases.
Compensation and Logistics
