A mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking a temporary Quality Assurance Specialist to support program compliance, data integrity, and quality improvement initiatives. This individual will conduct audits of client files and program documentation, ensure adherence to funding and regulatory requirements, and help maintain accurate records across multiple programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of client records, case files, assessments, and supporting documentation.
- Audit data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements.
- Monitor adherence to HIPAA regulations, confidentiality standards, and data privacy requirements.
- Identify documentation deficiencies, trends, and areas for process improvement.
- Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to program leadership.
- Assist with corrective action plans and staff training related to documentation and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with program, compliance, and operations teams to ensure quality service delivery.
- Support ongoing quality improvement and accreditation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, auditing, program monitoring, healthcare administration, or social services.
- Experience working in a nonprofit, behavioral health, healthcare, housing, or community-based organization preferred.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and records management best practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
