Ana Bird Legal Search is partnering with a nationally recognized law firm seeking an Insurance Litigation Associate with 2 to 3 years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience for its San Francisco or Oakland office.
This opportunity offers substantive involvement in complex commercial and insurance litigation matters, direct collaboration with experienced attorneys, and professional development within a sophisticated litigation practice.
Responsibilities
- Handle commercial and insurance litigation matters from initial case assessment through trial and appellate proceedings.
- Conduct legal research and draft substantive legal memoranda.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
- Manage written discovery, document production, and deposition preparation.
- Assist with case strategy, factual investigations, and litigation analysis.
- Collaborate with clients, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, and litigation teams.
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience.
- Genuine interest in insurance litigation.
- Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience with discovery, motion practice, and litigation case management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
- J.D. and active California Bar membership in good standing.
