Immediately hiring for a Experienced Skilled Underground Laborer that can set vaults, hand dig, use vacuum, excavator, hook up trailers, load and unload material and set boxes, efficiently. Job locations may vary from Olivehurst to Paradise.
Daily Tasks
Digging and Excavation: Dig trenches by hand, excavator and or vacuum and set vaults, handhole or shoring to secure trench walls.
Pipe and Conduit Laying: Fit, lay, and connect underground pipes, conduits, and cables.
Site Preparation and Cleanup: Clear debris, unload materials, backfill excavations, and compact soil or temporary asphalt, clean work site, stock and clean trucks.
Equipment Operation: Operates Skid Steer, mini excavator, gas-powered tools, jack hammers and other tools.
Safety Compliance: Follow strict OSHA guidelines, wear proper (PPE), set up safe work zones, traffic control.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience: Practical working knowledge of underground utility construction, pipe/conduit laying and installation. Know how to comfortably use excavator, skid steer, forklift, experience in underground utility construction or civil engineering projects.
Physical Strength: Ability to lift and carry 50 to 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Read Maps: Capability to read basic project maps and design.
