Job DescriptionAbout the Role:Cal Process Welding Inc is looking for a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team in Modesto, CA! Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to plan and execute welds
- Fit, align, and tack weld structural and process piping components to specifications
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials
- Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements
- Operate hand tools, grinders, and cutting equipment to prepare and finish weld joints
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality goals
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter in an industrial, structural, or process piping environment
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and weld symbols
- Experience fitting and aligning pipe, plate, or structural steel components
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and PPE requirements
- AWS certification or equivalent welding certifications preferred
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude
