Job Description -About the Opportunity
An established Southern California contractor with a long history in public works and civil infrastructure is looking to add an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager. The company performs municipal and infrastructure projects throughout the Los Angeles area, including roadway improvements, utilities, drainage, pipeline, sewer and storm drain work. The Project Manager will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers and public agencies while managing schedule, budget, documentation and overall project performance. -Key Responsibilities Manage heavy civil and public works projects from startup through closeout Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, suppliers and agencies Manage project budgets, schedules, cost tracking and forecasting Handle RFIs, RFCOs, submittals, change orders and T&M documentation Support estimating, takeoffs and pricing for new work and project changes Attend project meetings, job walks and agency meetings Identify field issues and work with operations to keep projects on schedule Support billing, procurement and project closeout -Qualifications Project management experience in heavy civil, public works, infrastructure or utility construction Strong understanding of civil construction and field operations Experience with municipal or public agency projects Background in roadway, drainage, utilities, pipeline, sewer or storm drain work preferred Experience managing budgets, schedules, change orders and subcontractors Estimating or preconstruction experience is a plus City of Los Angeles experience is highly desirable Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Sage/Timberline or similar software is a plus -Benefits Medical benefits with employer contribution Gas and vehicle support based on position requirements
