This position pays around $45/hr - $50/hr on W2

\n
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of vehicle operational safety standards. The role requires familiarity with vehicle operations, autonomous or advanced vehicle systems, software development/testing lifecycles, and how safety requirements are integrated into engineering work. The ability to work effectively with engineering, operations, quality, legal/compliance, and leadership teams is a must.

- Develop operational safety standards
- Assess and audit compliance to standards; identifying gaps, creating audit reports and tracking corrective actions to closure.
- Implement operational safety standards;
- Provide training to technical teams on standards

Skillset Requirements
\n

\n

- Safety management and compliance: Knowledge of operational safety standards, safety management systems, risk assessment, and incident-prevention practices.
- Policy and procedure development: Ability to create clear, practical safety standards, operational procedures, controls, and supporting documentation.
- Auditing and assessment: Experience planning and conducting compliance audits, reviewing documentation, identifying gaps, writing audit reports, and tracking corrective actions to closure.
- Process improvement: Ability to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies or risks, incorporate lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Risk analysis: Strong capability in identifying hazards, assessing operational risks, prioritizing mitigation actions, and verifying that controls are effective.
- Project management: Ability to manage multiple safety initiatives, set timelines, monitor standard adoption, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and analytical skills to ensure procedures and evidence meet established standards.
