Pay/Salary Range: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Full-Time, Onsite

We are actively seeking a Supervisor of Cost Accounting to join a dynamic manufacturing organization supporting highly technical production environments. In this leadership position, you will oversee cost accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of inventory and product costing data, partner with manufacturing teams to analyze financial performance, and help drive operational excellence through detailed reporting and financial insight. To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of cost accounting experience within a standard-cost manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a sophisticated MRP or ERP-driven operation
  • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software applications
  • Demonstrated leadership experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Oracle ERP experience preferred

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Provide leadership and direction to the cost accounting team while promoting consistency and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Maintain the integrity of inventory valuation, standard costs, and manufacturing cost data
  • Evaluate purchasing trends, material pricing, and production activity to support cost updates and financial accuracy
  • Analyze inventory balances and identify potential excess or obsolete inventory exposures requiring reserve recommendations
  • Review labor and overhead allocations to ensure products are accurately costed
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, inventory reconciliations, and supporting accounting analyses
  • Generate and distribute cost center, inventory, and variance reports while providing meaningful explanations of results
  • Work closely with operations and manufacturing leadership to investigate and resolve cost variances
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory activities while reviewing the effectiveness of inventory control procedures
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, warranty reserve reviews, audit requests, and special accounting projects
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and reporting requirements
  • Drive process improvements that strengthen financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and overall business performance
