Location: San Leandro Milk Plant
Address: 200 Adams Avenue, San Leandro, CA 94577

Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Monday – Friday
  • Must be available for overtime and weekend work as needed.

Duration: 8-week contract with a strong possibility of extension.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality testing following established procedures.
  • Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and quality standards.
  • Complete and maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials, products, or processes.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
  • Place products on quality hold when issues are identified and assist with product disposition decisions.
  • Perform line inspections, weight verification, label verification, code date inspections, and packaging audits.
  • Verify employee compliance with food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and quality procedures.
  • Escalate quality or food safety concerns promptly to leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.


Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), food manufacturing, or a production environment.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and quality systems.
  • Experience performing visual inspections, product evaluations, and maintaining quality records.
  • Ability to verify and enforce compliance with food safety, quality, and employee hygiene standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and escalate quality or food safety issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and performing inspections throughout the production area for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a dairy, food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, FDA regulations, SQF, or other food safety programs is a plus.
