As a Packed Quality Control (QC) Technician at our Cherry Packing Facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of packed cherries. Your primary responsibility will be to review all packed cartons and document relevant information in the QC database. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Review Packed Cartons:
- Inspect all packed cartons of cherries to ensure that they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects, irregularities, or discrepancies in packed cherries or packaging materials.
- Verify that cherries are packed according to customer requirements, including variety, grade, and pack date.
Document in QC Database:
- Record inspection findings and relevant information for each packed carton in the QC database.
- Enter data accurately and promptly to maintain up-to-date records of packed cherry quality.
- Document any deviations from quality standards or issues encountered during the inspection process.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate inspection results and findings to relevant personnel, including supervisors, quality control teams, and production staff.
- Collaborate with team members to address any quality issues or concerns identified during the inspection process.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements to enhance overall product quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in quality control or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform thorough inspections.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing production requirements.
