Formulation Technician – Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Formulation Technician to support the formulation and preparation of biopharmaceutical products in a regulated manufacturing environment. The Formulation Technician will be responsible for preparing raw materials, operating manufacturing equipment, performing in-process checks, and completing accurate batch documentation while following established GMP, SOP, and aseptic procedures.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to follow detailed procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the formulation and preparation of biopharmaceutical products according to approved manufacturing procedures.
- Weigh, measure, and prepare raw materials, ingredients, and components accurately and according to established specifications.
- Operate manufacturing and formulation equipment in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform equipment setup, cleaning, sanitization, and preparation prior to manufacturing activities.
- Conduct in-process checks, sampling, and other required manufacturing activities.
- Accurately complete batch records, manufacturing documentation, logbooks, and other required documentation.
- Follow established GMP, aseptic processing, and safety procedures throughout manufacturing operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing area in accordance with applicable GMP requirements.
- Monitor equipment and manufacturing processes and promptly communicate any abnormalities or issues to appropriate personnel.
- Follow material handling, labeling, storage, and documentation requirements.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to support production activities.
- Adhere to all company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional manufacturing and formulation duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience working with SOPs, batch records, GMP documentation, or manufacturing procedures preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow written procedures.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Comfortable working with manufacturing equipment and following detailed operating procedures.
- Ability to work in a controlled manufacturing environment and follow gowning and aseptic requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Must be dependable and willing to follow established safety and quality procedures.
