Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to residents per the plan of care
- Implement and adjust therapy interventions to improve activities of daily living and functional mobility
- Document progress notes and treatment interventions in the resident’s chart
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team (including physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and nursing) to coordinate care
- Monitor safety, infection control, and proper use of equipment and assistive devices during sessions
- Participate in discharge planning and caregiver education to support ongoing practice after therapy
