Connect Staffing is hiring a Retread Technician for the largest Michelin Retread Technology plant in North America, located in Redlands, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $19.00–$20.00/hr. In this role, you will inspect, buff, repair, and skive commercial truck tire casings as part of a high-volume retreading production line that produces around 600 medium truck tire retreads daily.

Responsibilities
- Perform multi-stage casing inspections to identify damage, wear patterns, and structural integrity issues before and during the retreading process.
- Buff tire casings using buffing machines to remove old tread and prepare the surface for new tread application.
- Skive damaged areas of tire casings to remove rubber and expose sound material for repair.
- Repair casing defects including punctures, cuts, and separations using appropriate compounds and tools.
- Apply new tread rubber to prepped casings and prepare tires for the curing stage.
- Follow Michelin quality control standards and document inspection findings at each production stage.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ months of manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in tire retreading, tire service, or rubber manufacturing.
- Experience following strict quality control or safety standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or tire service environment.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and quality control checklists.

Pre-Employment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift.
- Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must pass a background check.
