Job Description Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – CNC Equipment in Gardena, CA — $35.00–$40.00/hr DOE, mid shift, contract-to-hire. Maintain and repair CNC machines and aerospace production equipment.

ABOUT THE ROLE Headers, furnaces, CNC machines, and conveyors need someone who can diagnose a fault and make a safe repair.
Keep CNC machines, headers, cutters, furnaces, conveyors, and related production systems running reliably. Diagnose failures, perform preventive maintenance, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Overtime may be needed to support production. Expect hands-on repairs around industrial machinery, noise, heat, and metalworking fluids, with lockout/tagout required for safe maintenance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO - Perform preventive maintenance on CNC and production equipment - Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults - Repair lathes, mills, headers, cutters, furnaces, and conveyors - Read blueprints, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams - Replace motors, bearings, belts, gears, pumps, valves, and sensors - Calibrate and adjust equipment using diagnostic and precision tools - Record repairs and maintenance activity and coordinate downtime with production - Coach operators on basic equipment care and follow OSHA and LOTO procedures
WHAT YOU NEED - Proven experience maintaining CNC equipment in manufacturing - Strong mechanical and industrial electrical troubleshooting skills - Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation - Experience with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools, and precision instruments - Ability to perform preventive maintenance and root-cause troubleshooting - High school diploma or GED
NICE TO HAVE - Aerospace or fastener manufacturing experience - Fanuc controls, PLC troubleshooting, VFDs, or servo motor experience - Lean manufacturing or Total Productive Maintenance knowledge - Technical certification in maintenance, CNC maintenance, or mechatronics

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lift and move up to 50 lb; frequently stand, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the shift while working safely around industrial equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT High-volume aerospace facility with CNC machinery, heat-treat furnaces, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, noise, vibration, and metalworking fluids. PPE is required and provided, and all plant safety procedures apply.
