Job Title: Electro-mechanical / Optical Assembly Technician's (2nd Shift)
Job Type: Contract
Job Location: Milpitas, CA
Work Schedule: Onsite
Pay Rate: $39, Based on experience
Description:
- Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies at the system level.
- Determine and develop test methods and procedures using blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems, completing required rework based on test results and identified issues.
- Prepare technical reports summarizing test findings, troubleshooting results, and recommended solutions to technical problems.
- Assist with the selection and setup of specialized test equipment as required.
- Work independently on moderately difficult assignments, using sound judgment to resolve technical issues and make recommendations.
- Perform routine daily work with minimal supervision and follow general instructions when working on newly introduced assignments.
- Provide work direction and technical training to peers when needed.
- Apply hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Work effectively in a clean room environment while following applicable procedures and requirements.
- Support system development and testing, including development of system-level requirements, test specifications, and documentation of test results.
- Use oscilloscopes, DVMs, and other testing and measuring instruments to perform electrical and system-level analysis.
- Operate fine-adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, and calipers for assembly, adjustment, and measurement activities.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience testing digital and analog components and systems.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across different functions and locations.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Apply strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with effective time management and task prioritization.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity with minimal direction.
- Maintain a willingness to learn, collaborate, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work extended hours and weekends when required by business or project needs.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and periodically lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Knowledge of LabVIEW, Linux, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- Technical Certificate, Associate's degree, military technical training, equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- A BSEE, BSEET, or similar engineering degree is strongly preferred.
