Job Summary
Inspired Flight Technologies is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support our manufacturing and warehouse operations. This hands-on role supports the flow of materials throughout the business, including inventory management, production kitting, shipping, receiving, and material handling.
The Warehouse Associate will pick and stage materials for production, receive and put away incoming materials, prepare outbound shipments, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure materials are properly handled and documented. This role works closely with Production and Operations Team to help keep materials moving and production on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Production Support
- Pick parts, components, and materials accurately according to work orders, job travelers, and production requirements
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and revisions before issuing material to production
- Stage and kit materials for production builds
- Accurately transact material movements, issues, receipts, and adjustments in NetSuite ERP
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliation
- Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled inventory locations
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, or documentation issues
- Assist with material handling and movement throughout the facility
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive incoming materials and components, verify quantities and part numbers against purchase orders, and document discrepancies or damage
- Unpack, inspect, label, and properly store incoming materials
- Prepare outbound shipments according to established procedures and customer or internal requirements
- Pack products and components securely and accurately for shipment
- Prepare shipping documentation, including packing lists, shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required paperwork
- Schedule or assist with carrier pickups and deliveries as directed
- Process shipments using common parcel and freight carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and LTL providers
- Track shipments and communicate delivery issues or delays to the appropriate team members
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records in the ERP system
- Follow established procedures for handling materials subject to shipping, export control, hazardous materials, or other regulatory requirements
Warehouse Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping/receiving area
- Follow established inventory control, material handling, shipping, and safety procedures
- Operate standard warehouse equipment safely and responsibly
- Work collaboratively with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and other teams to resolve material-related issues
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and material flow
- Perform other warehouse and material-handling duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, part numbers, and shipping documentation
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Dependable, organized, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate standard warehouse equipment
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Experience in aviation, aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UPS, FedEx, LTL, or other common freight and parcel carriers
- Experience using an ERP or inventory management system
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and basic freight processes
- Familiarity with export control or ITAR requirements is a plus
- IATA Dangerous Goods training or certification is a plus
