Operator – Final Packing
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:30 am- 1:00 pm
Position Summary
The Operator I is primarily responsible for the final packing of finished ultrasound probe covers and related products. This position requires accurately counting pieces, packing products according to established procedures, and applying labels to ensure products are properly prepared for shipment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform final packing of finished products.
- Accurately count pieces according to specified quantities for each package.
- Place the correct number of pieces into designated packaging.
- Apply labels to packages and verify that labels are accurate and properly positioned.
- Inspect products and packaging for quality and accuracy before completing the packing process.
- Ensure products are packaged and labeled according to established instructions.
- Identify and report damaged, defective, or incorrect products.
- Complete required packing and production documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Perform repetitive packing tasks while maintaining consistent accuracy and productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Regularly work in a clean room environment.
- Regularly stand or sit for extended periods.
- Frequently use hands and fingers to count, handle, inspect, pack, and label products.
- Repetitive hand and arm movements may be required throughout the shift.
- Occasionally walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and hear instructions.
- Must regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds.
- Must have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing protection may be required in designated work areas and will be provided.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.
Experience:
- Manufacturing, production, packaging, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Clean room experience is a plus.
- Previous packing or labeling experience is helpful but not required.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to accurately count pieces and follow specific quantities.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality.
- Ability to identify discrepancies in quantities, labels, or packaging.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions written in English.
