We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our dry cleaning team. The Cashier will be responsible for assisting customers, processing orders and payments, and ensuring garments are properly received and returned.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Receive and tag customers’ garments accurately.
- Enter customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Collect payments by cash, credit/debit card, or other accepted methods.
- Provide customers with receipts and pickup information.
- Organize and maintain customer orders for pickup.
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with questions about services, pricing, and order status.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.
- Count and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming counter area.
- Follow company procedures for handling garments, payments, and customer information.
- Work closely with cleaning and production staff to ensure orders are completed correctly and on time.
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, retail, customer service, or dry cleaning experience preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
- Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Professional and friendly attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move light-to-moderate items when necessary.
Schedule
- Full-time or part-time positions available.
- Weekend availability may be required.
