Job DescriptionOperations Manager Location: San Fernando Valley, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
Salary: $100,000 – $135,000 annually
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations and production personnel.
- Manage production schedules, capacity, WIP, labor utilization, and on-time delivery.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement recovery plans.
- Develop and coach supervisors and production teams.
- Monitor productivity, overtime, scrap, rework, and manufacturing costs.
- Partner with Quality and Engineering to maintain aerospace process and quality requirements.
- Support Nadcap and AS9100 compliance and audit activities.
- Drive Lean manufacturing, 5S, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate ERP/MRP production and labor reporting.
- Maintain strong safety practices within a chemical-processing manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive manufacturing/operations experience with leadership responsibility.
- Aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or regulated special-process background.
- Direct experience with metal finishing, electroplating, chemical processing, or a closely related special process strongly preferred.
- Experience managing supervisors and hourly manufacturing employees.
- Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, capacity, WIP, labor utilization, and on-time delivery.
- Familiarity with Nadcap requirements and aerospace quality systems.
- ERP/MRP experience.
- Lean/continuous-improvement and problem-solving experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Highly Preferred
- Aerospace plating or metal-finishing experience.
- Hard chrome plating experience.
- Nadcap Chemical Processing experience.
- AS9100 experience.
- High-mix, low-volume manufacturing experience.
