Position Overview
\n
\n
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer to support building electrical and MEP projects from conceptual design through construction. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical system design, power distribution, lighting, and electrical engineering calculations.
\n
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
Design and develop electrical systems for building and site projects.
\n
Prepare electrical drawings, construction documents, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
\n
Design power distribution, lighting, and photovoltaic (PV) systems.
\n
Perform voltage drop, fault current, and arc-flash calculations.
\n
Prepare Basis of Design documents and technical specifications.
\n
Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination.
\n
Review RFIs, submittals, and construction documents.
\n
Support projects throughout design and construction administration.
\n
Required Qualifications
\n
5+ years of relevant electrical engineering or electrical design experience.
\n
Experience in building electrical systems or MEP projects.
\n
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
\n
Knowledge of power distribution, lighting systems, and electrical calculations.
\n
Familiarity with applicable electrical and building codes and standards.
\n
Valid California Driver’s License.
\n
Ability to work a hybrid schedule in San Diego, CA.
\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications
\n
Experience with photovoltaic systems and energy-efficient electrical design.
\n
Familiarity with SKM, Design Master, Bluebeam, or similar electrical design tools.
\n
Knowledge of California Electrical Code, Title 24, and local utility standards.
\n
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
\n

Compensation
\n
$60,000–$130,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
