We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will support providers in delivering high-quality patient care while assisting with clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection, injections, and EKGs as permitted by applicable regulations.
- Administer medications as directed by the provider and within the scope of practice.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Schedule appointments and assist with referrals, prescriptions, and patient communications.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and privacy standards.
- Maintain inventory and ensure clinical supplies are adequately stocked.
- Provide patients with a welcoming, respectful, and professional experience.
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred or required based on applicable regulations.
- Previous medical office or clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
