Chief Estimator, Estimating Manager | Commercial General Contractor
We’re partnering with a well-established, high-volume commercial general contractor to hire an Estimating Manager to lead and support a growing team.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment where estimating is at the core of the business. Ideal for someone coming out of a general contractor who thrives in high-volume bid environments and knows how to drive accuracy, efficiency, and team performance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and mentor a team of estimators (while staying hands-on in the work)
- Manage the full estimating lifecycle from concept through award
- Drive bid strategy, subcontractor coverage, and risk mitigation
- Partner closely with Project Management on bid reviews and execution
- Improve processes, efficiency, and overall estimating performance
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience (GC required)
- Experience with retail, restaurant, or high-volume project environments
- Proven ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
- Strong leadership skills with a willingness to roll up your sleeves
- Experience with tools like Bluebeam and similar estimating platforms
Comp: $160K–$190K base + discretionary bonus potential
