Quality Assurance Associate
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Industry: Medical Device Manufacturing
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Associate to join a medical device manufacturing team in Carlsbad. This role will support the Quality Management System, ensure compliance with FDA requirements and ISO 13485, and help maintain high-quality products and accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain quality records and support CAPAs, nonconformances, deviations, returns, and customer complaints.
- Perform quality walk-throughs in production, testing, and warehouse areas.
- Inspect incoming materials against blueprints and specifications.
- Review work orders and Device History Records (DHRs) prior to product release.
- Support equipment calibration, supplier quality activities, and product audits.
- Assist with internal and external regulatory audits.
- Maintain quality databases, tracking logs, and documentation.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Quality/Regulatory teams.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in medical devices or another regulated industry.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and ISO 13485.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document discrepancies.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field and Spanish-English bilingual skills.
