Medical Assistant for Orthopedic Medical Group

Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient medical histories and update electronic health records accurately
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform basic diagnostic tests
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers
- Schedule appointments and triage phone calls
- Manage patient correspondence and ensure timely communication
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program preferred
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an orthopedic or specialty setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is a plus
