Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Salary: $100,000–$135,000 DOE

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations within a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for production performance, staffing, scheduling, quality compliance, delivery, cost control, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience managing technical manufacturing teams in a high-mix production environment and working within strict aerospace quality and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations and production personnel.
  • Manage production schedules, capacity, WIP, labor utilization, and on-time delivery.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement recovery plans.
  • Develop and coach supervisors and production teams.
  • Monitor productivity, overtime, scrap, rework, and manufacturing costs.
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering to maintain aerospace process and quality requirements.
  • Support Nadcap and AS9100 compliance and audit activities.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing, 5S, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accurate ERP/MRP production and labor reporting.
  • Maintain strong safety practices within a chemical-processing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing/operations leadership experience.
  • Aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with special manufacturing processes, surface treatment, chemical processing, plating, or related operations is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Nadcap and/or AS9100 environments preferred.
  • Strong production planning, scheduling, capacity, WIP, labor-utilization, and on-time-delivery experience.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement experience.

Highly Preferred

  • Aerospace plating or metal-finishing experience.
  • Hard chrome plating experience.
  • Nadcap Chemical Processing experience.
  • AS9100 experience.
  • High-mix, low-volume manufacturing experience.
