Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare facility in San Mateo, CA, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support their pharmacy team on a contract basis. This role requires dedication and a willingness to contribute in a fast-paced environment where maintaining full staffing is critical to ongoing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications accurately.
- Support IV preparation; some exposure to IV techniques is preferred.
- Maintain organized and compliant pharmacy records.
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff to ensure timely delivery of patient care.
- Uphold safety and quality standards in all pharmacy operations.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Pharmacy Technician certification or relevant experience.
- Previous work in a pharmacy setting with some exposure to IV preparation is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings and afternoons.
Schedule/Hours:
- Multiple shift start times available: 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.
- Each shift is 8.5 hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
This is a contract position aiming to quickly fill approximately three full-time equivalent roles to maintain operational continuity. Candidates with some IV preparation experience are preferred, although there is willingness to provide additional training to those with less exposure.
