Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Mariposa, CA
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM | Occasional night shift 7:00 PM–7:30 AM may be required
Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate
Local: $49–$53/hour
Traveler: $54–$58/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in a 34-bed rural critical access hospital.

Required Qualifications

  • Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License.

  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) RRT credential.

  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

  • Minimum 1 year of RRT experience.

  • Strong respiratory care and clinical assessment skills.

  • Ability to provide respiratory care in a critical access hospital environment.

  • Ability to work day shifts and occasional night shifts as required.

  • Strong reliability with minimal RTO and schedule requests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

  • Certified Monitor Technician (CMT) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day respiratory care functions in a 34-bed rural critical access hospital.

  • Provide broad respiratory therapy services, including emergency department response and ventilator management.

  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and analysis.

  • Perform EKGs and provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care.

  • Maintain precise and timely clinical charting and documentation according to facility protocols.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team.

  • Maintain safety, compliance, and clinical autonomy while providing patient care.

  • Support respiratory care needs across the hospital as required.
