Job Title: Chemical Operator – Loader / Packager
Location: Torrance, CA 90503
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
Pay: $20–$24/hr.
Shift: Day shift initially; then rotating 12-hour day/night shifts
**Job Summary:
**We are seeking a Chemical Operator – Loader/Packager to support chemical manufacturing, packaging, shipping, and plant operations. The role involves loading/unloading materials, packaging finished products, operating and inspecting equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks, railcars, and ISO containers.
- Fill and package drums and totes.
- Sample, weigh, and inspect materials.
- Operate and monitor plant/process equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance.
- Maintain housekeeping and follow all safety and HSEQ procedures.
- Properly handle and dispose of waste/hazardous materials.
- Complete required training and documentation.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Chemical or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Good math and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Comfortable with physical work and working indoors/outdoors.
- Must be willing to work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts.
