Duration: Contract - 11 months
Pay Range: $30-$30.51/hr (W2)

Job Description
We are seeking a US-Technician VI Tier 3 to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SMT and BGA rework, PCB repair, and test station build and troubleshooting and a proven ability to support engineering by reducing test downtime and executing complex rework with quality.
Responsibilities:
- Support engineering activities including test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electronic boards and electro-mechanical systems.
- Perform detailed SMT and BGA rework from schematics, diagrams, layouts, and written or verbal instructions.
- Determine appropriate methods to rework boards and systems, including component removal and reinstallation.
- Assist in design, construction, test, and check-out of specialized test equipment and test stations.
- Use oscilloscopes, DMMs, and specialized diagnostic apparatus for troubleshooting.
- Repair boards with failed, wrong, or mis-inserted components, solder shorts, open traces, and related defects.
- Execute ECO and repair rework, including wiring, etch and pad restoration for surface-mount and thru-hole technologies.
- Provide failed components and boards to engineering for evaluation when appropriate.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Expert rework skills for SMT and BGA or small-footprint components using microscopes and soldering tools.
- Ability to build new test stations and troubleshoot failed test stations.
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and specialized test equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work under high-stress situations.
- Ability to prioritize and balance work to support engineering needs and minimize testing downtime.
- Experience performing ECO-driven rework and PCB repairs, including pad and trace restoration.
- Experience level: 5–10 years in relevant technician roles.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with experimental design circuitry or specialized test apparatus.
- Background in electro-mechanical system assembly and checkout.
