verview We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Supervisor to lead daily operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role oversees a team responsible for set-up, operation, and programming of multiple CNC lathe machines. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a commitment to maintaining safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate first-shift CNC lathe activities, ensuring production goals and quality standards are met.
· Perform advanced CNC lathe set-ups, tooling adjustments, offsets, and program as needed.
· Train, mentor, and support operators and set-up personnel to strengthen skill development and performance.
· Review and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining.
· Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
· Maintain machine performance through routine inspections and coordination of maintenance needs.
· Monitor workflow, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to maximize efficiency.
· Enforce safety policies, housekeeping standards, and compliance with company procedures.
· Collaborate with production management, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
· Minimum 8 years of CNC lathe experience, including set-up, operation, and programming.
· Prior supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, feeds/speeds, and machining best practices.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and precision measurement tools.
· Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
