Shift Lead - Full Time

Job Summary
Join Super Taco as a Shift Lead and play a vital role in our full-service restaurant. As an integral part of our hospitality team, you will oversee daily operations, support both kitchen and front-of-house teams, and ensure exceptional guest service. Key Responsibilities
- Restaurant Operations
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant activities in the absence of the General Manager or middle management
- Maintain product quality, restaurant cleanliness, and facility appearance
- Ensure safety, security, and adherence to all company policies and procedures
- Assist with facility maintenance and equipment troubleshooting
- Monitor and achieve performance targets, financial goals, and labor budgets
- Conduct and analyze daily/weekly inventory; support order and storage processes
- Support catering operations and timely completion of related procedures
- Team Leadership
- Help interview, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate restaurant staff
- Motivate and coach front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure high morale and efficiency
- Lead training and evaluation processes for all team members
- Promote open communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Participate in team and departmental meetings
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll, paperwork, and record keeping
- Process HR paperwork, including absence requests and terminations, and celebrate employee milestones
- Support administrative duties in the absence of the General Manager
- Ensure staff certifications (food handler, RBS) are up to date
- Guest Service
- Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction at all times
- Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
- Uphold company mission, vision, and core values in all interactions
- Kitchen & Bar Operations
- Assist in food preparation and follow food safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of front-of-house and kitchen areas
- Be flexible to work in various roles including bartender, server, line cook, and utility as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, sports bar, or hospitality team leadership role preferred
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and dining environment
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and team motivation skills
- Basic computer knowledge for administrative responsibilities
- Current food handler’s card and RBS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Physically able to stand and walk for up to 4 hours at a time and lift up to 50 lbs
- Available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Willingness to work in varying temperature environments and perform repetitive tasks
- Adherence to uniform and personal appearance standards
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow
Schedule
Full-time position. Must be available to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
